Sabal Minor Palms

This palm is native to northeast Texas'.  It usually grows to 3 to 4 feet high with a snow-cone grouping of fronds.  The individual leaves are in a palm orientation and are green all year long. Mature plants produce bloom spikes that have petite yellowish-white blooms in May.  These blooms are pollinated by honey bees .  The resulting fruit are about the size of english peas.  These fruit provide food for animals and birds and

ripen in September.
