FAQ
Classic Title
1. Do they grow in sun or shade?

A. They do well in both! In full sun they tend to have shorter leaf stalks. In shade, the leaf stalks are longer as the palm competes for light.

2. How much water do they need?

A. That is temperature and sun related.
When the temperature is over 90 F, the young palms need water every other day. After the first year in the ground, their tap root typically will supply the palm with enough water to sustain it. Full sun will also result in more frequent watering. Using your finger to feel the soil about 2 inches below ground level will help you determine when to water. If your finger is dry then it is time to water.

3. What is the lowest temperature that you have observed the palm surviving?

A. All of our palms have survived 0 F which occurred on February 16, 2021!
